Hardware

On this page you may configure the abilities of your drives.

CD-writer(s)
CDDVD
NoType -ROM-R-RW -ROM-R-RW+R+RW

Detection

If the auto detection of your devices fails, you may add them manually. You have to give pairs (A; B) where A is the "dev" argument of cdrecord (try "cdrecord dev=A -inq") and B is the device you may use with the "dd" command (try "dd if=B of=/dev/null").

Examples:
"auto"
"(0,0,0; /dev/scd0), (1,1,0; /dev/scd1)"
"(ATAPI:0,0,0; /dev/hdc)"

Use "burnfree" if supported by the writer?

ATAPIRawDeviceSupport

Use "dev=/dev/hd?" instead of "dev=ATAPI:bus,id,0" with cdrecord and ATAPI devices. This is still experimental. Try it with Linux 2.6.
